Facebook Do’s and Don’ts:

Facebook can be a tricky nut to crack, but with our list of Do’s and Don’ts, you’ll be at the top of your Facebook game.

VIP Group vs. Your Personal Account

Personal Facebook Account

You likely already have a personal Facebook account where you interact with friends and family, post personal content about your life, and maybe even talk about your Pure Romance business – which is great! Your personal Facebook account is just that…personal. You may not want to “friend” every person you meet at a party to keep them in your network. So where do you send them? To your VIP Group!

VIP Group

Your VIP Group is your one-stop-shop to conduct your business online. You should encourage all your party-goers, customers, and leads to join your group for exclusive offers, discounts, and a first look at new products! This is a great way to keep your customers engaged in your business. Plus, people know how to reach you the next time they run out of their favorite products.

The best thing about a VIP Group is that it’s private! While you may not want to discuss products, especially our intimacy products, on your personal Facebook page, your VIP Group is designed just for that! Think of it like your personal shopping room. The women in your group are all over the age of 18 and should see this group as a safe place for them to discuss intimacy, ask questions, and reach out to you about placing an order. Keep reading for how to properly set up your VIP Group.

  • What this group is for (corporate sales, personal sales, new products, previews, reviews, sexual health information, and fun content)
  • Link to the Catalog and your Personal Website
  • Your location and location where you can sell
  • Who is welcome to join the group (example: All non-binary/female identifying folks over the age of 18 are welcome!)

Recommended Questions for Your VIP Group:

  • Who invited you to the group?
  • When is your birthday?
  • What is your email?

Recommended Rules in Your VIP Group:

  • You must be 18+, female-identifying to join this group. We talk about mature content that is not suitable for children. (Make sure to check their account and verify age before letting them in the group)
  • Be kind. Insulting or bullying other members or non-members will get you banned from the group without prior warning
  • Report rule breaking. If you see a post/comment that violates our rules, report it to the admins – DO NOT verbally attack the author of said post/comment
  • Think before you report. Don’t report posts or comments that aren’t breaking any rules just because you don’t like or agree with their content
  • No Spamming. Asking the same question or posting the same content over and over will result in you being banned from the group
  • Use the Search Option. To avoid cluttering the group, please search the feed before asking a question. Someone might have already answered your question

Tips for Creating a Good Instagram Bio

Don’t overlook your Instagram Bio. It could be just the thing to help you gain followers and prove yourself to be an authority in women’s health and wellness.

Optimize your Instagram Name: include your full name, title, or keyword. Take a look at the examples below for inspiration.

Highlight Your Skills and Target Audience: It should inform your audience how you can provide value to them.

Use Relevant Keywords: This can get your purpose across, which is important when you have a limited amount of characters to play with. When deciding what keywords to include in your Instagram bio, think about your core values and interests, and those of your target audience.

Drive Traffic with a Linkin.bio: It’s easy to find, easy to set up, and readily clickable. Turn your whole feed into a clickable landing page to your store.

Add Your Contact Information: With an Instagram business profile, you can add contact information to your bio without taking up character space! Add the option in order to get followers and future customers. Setting up a business profile will allow people to message or email you with questions or order inquiries.

Get Creative!: Use emojis or different fonts to show off your personality. Emojis are a great way to space out text while adding some flair and color.

Importance of Hashtags on Instagram:

With over 95 million pieces of content being posted every day on Instagram, hashtags are the main way people can find the content they’re searching for. Hashtags are an important way to expand your Instagram audience and your reach. When you use a hashtag, your post will appear on the page for that hashtag, as long as your account is public. If you use a hashtag on your Story, it could be included in the relevant hashtag Story, which also appears on the hashtag page.

Best Practices For Using Hashtags:

How Many Hashtags Should You Use?

Average amount of hashtags used are 11, but Instagram recommends users use no more than 5 hashtags per post. You can use a maximum of 30 in a post.

How Often Should You Use Hashtags?

Every time you post.

Can You Use The Same Hashtag Over and Over Again?

Instagram’s algorithm may penalize you for using the same hashtags consistently. This is because it may look like you’re spamming users or they may think you are an Instagram bot.

Hashtags in Comments or in the Actual Post?

If you’re using a trending hashtag, stick it in your post caption. If you plan on posting over 7 hashtags related to the post, post them in comments.

Hashtags You Should Avoid

Instagram has a list of banned hashtags, however, the list is not published. Some banned hashtags are intuitive like self-harm and NSFW hashtags, while others like #pushups and #mustfollow aren’t as intuitive. An easy way to ensure a hashtag is banned: look it up. If it doesn’t show up in the search, it’s banned.

How to Stay Out of TikTok Jail

Getting Started with TikTok

How To:

Importance of Hashtags on TikTok:

Hashtags help your content get more visibility and also help users find the content they’re looking for. Anyone looking for content on a specific topic or area of interest can simply use a relevant hashtag to discover such content. From a business point of view, it’s vice-versa, as hashtags can help your content reach the right people.

Best Practices For Using Hashtags:

Look at Similar Industry Content to See What Hashtags are Being Used: The easiest but most time-consuming way to find hashtags is to scroll in the app and browse through content. Of course, you need to search for content based on relevant topics and interests. But still, browsing through content and looking for hashtags is not the best use of your time.

See What Hashtags are Trending on the Discover Page: This is the best way to find inspiration for your next TikTok, jump on trends, and learn about new tools and techniques for creating unique TikToks.

How Many Hashtags Should You Use?

It’s recommended to use 5 hashtags maximum. This limit will allow you to be more strategic and precise with your content and niche market.

What’s Trending?

Trends come from a variety of features on the app. For example, sounds, dances, transitions, or hashtags. The best way to find out what’s trending on TikTok is to be on TikTok. Look at the types of videos being posted, the hashtags being posted alongside those videos, and what sounds you’re hearing most often. If you want to stay on top of trends, we recommend following the hashtag #trendalert for an easy way to find popular content.

Getting Started with Design Apps

Starting from scratch is so 2000-late. Why create a graphic from the ground up when there are many apps with pre-designed templates to choose from? These apps will allow you to customize everything from fonts to colors, and allow you to add your own media!

But be careful! Creating your own designs sometimes runs the risk of looking unprofessional if you don’t have a lot of experience. We recommend sticking to the layouts that they provide and customizing your design to reflect the Pure Romance brand.

Many of the design apps we’re about to mention allow you to customize the colors of the elements in your graphics, add your own logos, etc. If you choose to do so, try incorporating our brand colors, logos, and fonts below so all your designs look cohesive and professional.

Digital Analytics

What are They?

Digital Analytics is the process of analyzing digital data from various sources like websites and mobile applications. It provides you with a clear vision of how users or customers are behaving.

Where Can I Find My Analytics?

Where you find your Analytics depends on the platform. Keep reading!

Instagram Analytics:

These analytics, also known as Instagram Insights, help you understand the performance of your posts and overall account. Metrics are individual stats within Instagram analytics. These metrics can help you track follower count, follower growth rate, interactions, reach, impressions, and much more.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to view your Insights.

What’s the Best to Track on Instagram?

Reach
If you’re looking to see how much awareness you’re generating with your content, look at Reach. It’s a metric that tells you how many people have seen your posts. Each account that views your photo, video, or Story counts as one account reached. Similar to Reach is Impressions. Impressions count every time your content is seen, whereas Reach is only counted once per user and is therefore more accurate.

Engagement Rate
Engagement is one of the most important analytics to look at. Engagement is the total number of likes, comments, and saves on your post. Engagement Rate tells you what percentage of people that saw your post engaged with it. If you’re looking to measure the success of your content, engagement is king. Instagram rewards content that gets good engagement and makes it so more people are likely to engage with your content. Engagement rate isn’t available in your insights, but it is simple and worth taking the time to calculate.

  • Measuring engagement rate: (Engagements/Reach) x 100

Follower Growth
Your follower count on Instagram may be a simple metric, but it’s also a very important one. The number of followers you have affects the overall performance of your Instagram account in a variety of ways. If you’re looking to increase your reach, the more followers you have, the bigger your reach. Follower growth rate is a great way to measure your account’s success. This allows you to not only track how many followers you’ve gained over the past weeks, months, and years, but also how fast your follower base is growing.

Audience Demographics
If you’re looking to improve engagement with your posts, drive web traffic, or make sales, knowing your audience is crucial to a successful Instagram strategy. With demographics, you can see the gender and age makeup of your followers, as well as your top five cities and countries in terms of follower count.

Website Clicks
If your Personal Website isn’t linked to your social media pages, it should be. Website clicks measures the number of people that visit your Instagram profile and end up on your website’s landing page. This is a great number to track when you want to see how much of your customer base comes from Instagram.

The Algorithm Explained…

The algorithm is the key to everything. It decides what content gets seen and every time you open the app, it combs through billions of available content tailored for you. The trick is, how does one get their content chosen? There are a couple key factors that decide what content people are shown.

Relationship
The algorithm assumes that people who’ve interacted with your account in the past will be interested in your new content.

Timeliness
The algorithm assumes that the most recent posts will be the most important to people, so that means it’s important to post when your audience is online. This information can be found through Insights.

Interest
Instagram knows what people want to see, by tracking user affinity and what is in each posted photo or video. It’s up to you to make your content what people want to see, and the algorithm will practically be working for you.

Tips for Working the Algorithm

Here are a couple tips to get the algorithm to work for and not against you.

Post Carousels
Carousel posts make up 17% of feed posts, and according to Hootsuite’s own research, they pull 3x the engagement and 1.4x the reach of other post types.

Post Consistently
If you’re looking to increase reach, engagement, or follower growth, this is a huge asset to your business.

Try Out New Features
This means using reels. Reels are the fastest growing feature on Instagram and could possibly get you noticed.

Hashtags:
Precise, accurate, and thoughtful hashtags are the best way to signal what’s in your post and who might be interested. Plus, they’re free!

Post When Your Audience is Online
Finding out the best time to post to Instagram means looking at your own audience’s behavior, looking around at industry benchmarks, and also keeping in mind when people are generally on Instagram.

Wondering the best time to Post?

The best days to post on Instagram are Saturday and Sunday – with the highest average engagement occurring for posts published on Sunday at 6AM.

On the flipside, posts published on Wednesday between 10AM – 4PM and Thursday 9PM – 11PM receive the lowest engagement rates on average, making them the worst days to post on Instagram.

The best time to post on Instagram

According to Later’s analysis of 35M global Instagram posts, these are the best times to post on Instagram:

  • Monday: 5AM
  • Tuesday: 6AM
  • Wednesday: 6AM
  • Thursday: 5AM
  • Friday: 6AM
  • Saturday: 6AM
  • Sunday: 6AM

TikTok Analytics

These analytics are essential if you want to learn the reach and impact of your content. TikTok Analytics is a special tool designed to help creators and businesses track the metrics around their content. It allows insight into useful data such as changes in follower numbers, a profile overview, and video analytics. If you are unable to see your TikTok analytics, you may need to invest in a Pro TikTok Account (business account).

What’s Best to Track on TikTok?

Average Engagement Rate Per Post
Engagement is the total number of likes, comments, and saves on your post. Over time, you’ll be able to compare engagement rates over a previous period and assess if your engagement rate is improving.

Follower Growth
This metric is a specific indicator that can tell you how your account is growing on shorter time frames, even hour by hour. The spikes in your follower growth graph will let you know which of your recently posted videos are doing well on the app and driving engagement and gaining followers.

Follower Activity
In this section you can see how many followers you may have lost and even your follower’s activity throughout the day and at which times they are the most active on TikTok. To gain access to the “Followers” section, you need to have at least 100 followers.

The Best Time to Post

While deciding a single best time to post on TikTok can be tricky, here are results from over 100,000 posts to find best engagement rates. All times are EST, and times marked with * offer particularly high levels of engagement.

  • Monday: 6 AM, 10 AM, 10 PM
  • Tuesday: 2 AM, 4 AM, *9 AM
  • Wednesday: 7 AM, 8 AM, 11 PM
  • Thursday: 9 AM, *12 AM, 7 PM
  • Friday: *5 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM
  • Saturday: 11 AM, 7 PM, 8 PM
  • Sunday: 7 AM, 8 AM, 4 PM

Twitter Analytics:

Twitter Analytics shows you how your audience is responding to your content, what’s working, and what’s not. Use this data to optimize your future Twitter campaigns and get better results.

Check out this step-by-step guide on how to view your Twitter Analytics.

What’s Best to Track on Twitter?

Profile visits
The number of visits to your Twitter profile is displayed at the top of your analytics dashboard. This number is reflected across a 28-day period and is updated daily. It also shows how it compares to the last 28-day period, along with a mini graph displaying this data over time.

Mentions
Similar to the profile visits metric, you can also view your @mentions over the last 28 days and over time. Your top mention is also displayed each month, calculated by engagement, with a link that drops you directly into that Tweet for extra context.

Tweet impressions
Under the Tweets section, you can find a list of all your Tweets and the number of impressions. You can see individual Tweet performance, as well as recent months or a 28-day overview of cumulative impressions.

Engagement rate
Similar to impressions, the Tweets section also shows your Tweets engagement, or the number of interactions your Tweet has received, as well as the engagement rate.

Top Tweets
Each month, your main analytics dashboard will display your top Tweet and top media Tweet (by impressions). Seeing all your top Tweets per month laid out in the same place allows you to see what they have in common and learn from your content.

Follower Growth
You can track how your following has changed over the last 30 days, and also how many new followers you’ve received per day. If you notice a particular day has either gained or lost you several followers, check what you Tweeted that day to try and determine the cause.

The best time to Tweet

  • Early mornings are the best time to tweet to get clicks
  • Evenings and late at night are the best time, on average, for total engagement with your tweets. In some cases, the most popular times to post are opposite of the best times to post
  • Noon to 1:00 p.m. local time, on average for each time zone, is the most popular time to tweet
  • The highest volume of tweets occurs between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., peaking between noon and 1:00 p.m.
  • The fewest tweets are sent between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m.
